Abdul Ghani bin Mohd Saaid is an accomplished Manufacturing and Process Engineering leader with more than 35 years of experience in medical device, electrical component and injection moulding industries. He has extensive expertise in manufacturing leadership, process optimisation, operational excellence, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, yield improvement, equipment qualification and manufacturing transfer. During his tenure at CIBA Vision Johor Sdn Bhd under Alcon Laboratories from 2007 to 2026, he progressed from Senior Engineer to Senior Manager. He led engineering teams, supported the establishment of a medical device manufacturing facility and successfully managed manufacturing process transfers from Batam, the United States and Canada to Johor. His major achievements include generating over USD800,000 in annual savings, improving product yield and Right First Time performance, reducing defects and strengthening equipment reliability. Previously, he served as a Technical Executive at Fujitsu Component (M) Sdn Bhd from 1990 to 2007, where he improved injection moulding operations, machine setup efficiency and Overall Equipment Effectiveness through structured technical training and SMED initiatives. He holds a Bachelor of Management in Technology and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He is also experienced as a Subject Matter Expert and in-house trainer in injection moulding, with strong capabilities in continuous improvement, root cause analysis, KPI development and manufacturing performance management.
